Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy – Inferno, PDF version available

As promised few days ago, in my post Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, I bring you Dante‘s Divine Comedy – Inferno in PDF format… :)

Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy – Inferno (6.57MB)

The book is released under Creative Commons Attribution – Noncommercial license. Feel free to share it with your friends, make printed copies of it, etc. You can upload this file to your site, as long as you post a link back to my blog (and/or this post). You can sell this book (electronic or printed version) only at the cost of the medium! – e.g. the CD you burnt it on, or at the price of toner and paper used for printing.

Customized versions are available for sale on demand, if anyone wants to make sale-able prints.

English translation by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
Illustrations by Paul Gustave Doré scanned by Dan Short, used with permission.

I took the liberty of not using all notes written by H. W. Longfellow (and editing some of them), and also only 70 out of total 75 illustrations for Inferno are used.

Enjoy!

Edit (2008/02/10) – I’m currently working on PDF version of Purgatorio, and I wish to do all 3 books (don’t know yet if in the end I will leave them as 3 separate books, or make them all one book); of course, I’m using templates that I made for this edition of Inferno, so any suggestions welcome, before it’s too late. ;)
And of course, all encouraging comments are welcome, so I don’t loose interest in the whole project. :D

Edit (2008/02/16) – Updated with a slightly enhanced version of the file – alternating page numbers, etc. Enjoy!

Edit (2008/02/21) – Posted PDF version of Purgatorio – Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy – Purgatorio, PDF version available.

Edit (2008/02/28): You can now get complete Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy in PDF.
